What happened to Hitler’s Wolf’s Lair after World War 2? The Wolfsschanze, Hitler’s secret headquarters in East Prussia, was supposed to be destroyed in January 1945 before the Red Army arrived. German engineers packed the bunkers with explosives, but the massive concrete structures survived.
In today's video we look at the post-war history of the Wolf’s Lair: the failed German demolition, the Soviet arrival, the deadly minefields, the Polish sappers who spent years clearing more than 65,000 mines, and the transformation of Hitler’s former headquarters into a tourist site in modern-day Poland.
