Six years ago, we were a thriving city. Some of our restaurants and cultural events were the hottest in the region, our economy was improving, and employers were reclaiming vacant factories and office spaces.

We are one of the most well-educated, resource-rich, and land-rich countries on the planet. Our city in particular is only a few hours from Buffalo, New York City, and Detroit. We are beside one of the largest sources of fresh water in the world and are one of the main trading hubs of the Great Lakes. We have farmland, we have a stadium… and we even have a man famous for dancing everywhere he goes.

Q: "What should we do next?"
A: Honestly, organize at the street and neighborhood level first (e.g. "Stinson" or even just your local area). Form a cluster of like-minded people around yourself and don't waste time on people not willing to admit the problems or give up control.

Q: "What next?"
A: I cover a range of protest tactics in my book "Industrial Society", but basically we'll be able to use the power of groups to apply pressure to decision-makers, and also to spread our message throughout the city. With ten people spending one Saturday afternoon putting up posters, we could attract dozens more to the cause - and their friends, etc...

Q: "Who can I trust?"
A: Not The Spectator, not anything on the television, not Laura Babcock, not Kojo Damptey, not Sarah Jama, not Matthew Green. Anybody on city council aside from Tammy Hwang is not genuine. Anybody in public health or healthcare cannot be trusted. Any professor from McMaster University cannot be trusted.

Perhaps the only person to ever graduate from McMaster University with a combined undergraduate in engineering physics, commerce, and mathematics, Zachary R.J. Strong's quest for knowledge has taken him from the sciences to the humanities, and from the texts of major world religions to the folkloric traditions humming underneath and within the world's modern empires.

Naturally drawn to unsolved mysteries, unresolved controversies, and complicated quandaries, Zachary's papers and books reflect his kaleidoscopic journey through the accumulated knowledge of humanity. By juxtaposing and harmonizing different perspectives within his writing, Zachary takes readers on daring intellectual journeys that will leave them exhausted, but elevated and more sophisticated.
