In this video, I discuss the current state of Smash Ultimate, as well as what we could be seeing from the Smash Bros franchise in the future. After recent tournaments such as Genesis X3, Cavalier Clash 7, and Let's Make Big Moves 2026, Smash is back in the conversation due to the excitement these tournaments have generated. Smash 6 is also back in the conversation with speculation on when the game will be announced and released, and if it will be released at all instead of a Deluxe port to the Switch 2.
I also briefly discuss some of the negative impacts of the community exposure of 2020 due to top player inappropriate behavior, fighters pass 2 bringing jarring meta shifts for the worse, as well as minimal support from Nintendo (loosely related to the top player exposure).
