For context we’ve lived here for over 11 years. The company that bought the property next door built massive barns on it. Construction began in 2024 and is still ongoing to the point where we feel like we live near a quarry.
Right to farm only applicable when they follow environmental and municipal rules. My understanding is it’s not a hall pass for spewing stuff at your neighbour’s house, but I’ve filled out a complaint and contacted a lawyer so I guess I’ll find out.
Township guidelines say they need to build a landscape berm with trees to block dust and whatever else is flying out of the fans, as well as not to point the fans at the neighboring property. As you can see, they did anyway. Every day as the fans ramp up my backyard sounds like I’m stuck in a thumping drum. I can’t understand how this is OK. My place is organic and a wildlife refuge with owls, eagles, hawks, blue heron, bats, and more. What am I supposed to do?
