As John 1 reminds us, the Word of God is Jesus Christ—the Second Person of the Trinity.

While the Word of God is considered to be Sacred Scripture as well, the Bible itself points to the fact that—first and foremost—the Word of God refers to Jesus for "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us" (Jn 1:14).
