Deuce, Blank Park Zoo’s male lion, recently underwent an immobilization procedure so our animal care and veterinary teams could take a closer look at an abdominal mass they’ve been monitoring.
With the help of our partners at Iowa Radiology, Deuce was safely transported offsite for a CT scan, providing our veterinary team with detailed images of the mass and a better understanding of what they were seeing.
