The widely viewed national television show, Stand Up to Cancer, that aired on September 5, 2014 featured dozens of movie stars and comedians, and was hosted by Katie Couric. It was entertaining and fun for sure. However, it was sponsored by many pharmaceutical companies...can you imagine why? Hmmm, let me see...it was one giant ad for treating cancer with chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery...although the last two were not highlighted. And who endorsed it? Of course, people we all have trust in...the actors and comedians we love...and who are supposed to be experts in the treatment of cancer. Really?
What a score this event was for big pharma! The brainwashing was so convincining it made a lot of people tear up.
What we need is integrative cancer treatment where many options for treatment are considered. Today, the primary treatments offered are from the mainstream of medicine and involve only chemo, radiation, and surgery. Every cancer patient deserves to know all the options for treatment...not just those offered by mainstream treatments.
