Chadia and her daughter Nour fled Syria years ago. Now, for #WorldRefugeeDay, they’re opening up about how the experience shaped them—and how they’re now in turn helping shape their new home for the better.

During the pandemic, Chadia cooked meals for vulnerable people. And, earlier this year, with support from the IRC, Chadia landed her first job in the UK, as a school cafeteria worker.

Chadia and Nour—and refugees everywhere—bring so many unique gifts to their new communities. #RefugeesWelcome.
