The Music Professor | What do you think about the interpretation debate? | Q+A (Part 1) @themusicprofessor | Uploaded 1 year ago | Updated 1 hour ago
Matthew King (the Music Professor) answers the first three questions in the long-awaited Q & A session.
The questions are:
1. Who are some other female composers you believe should be highlighted more? (0:56)
2. If a mixolydian flat 6 mode exists; which is its dominant degree, and which is one example of cadence to dominant in this mode? (5:13)
3. What do you think about the interpretation debate? should we be loyal to the original score, or is it fine to get further
from it for the sake of personal touch? (e.g Pogorelich) (6:43)
All answers are unscripted and spontaneous, and therefore subject to a degree of human frailty.
More answers to your super-brainy questions will appear soon...
