Same sky, different understanding. In this clip of Dispatches from The Well, Episode One, Kmele Foster compares the constellations we know today with the ones the ancient Inca tribes named and worshipped. Today, ALMA Observatory in Northern Chile studies this same chunk of the sky to learn more about how stars and planets are formed. Hopefully, these studies can help us understand how our own planet was formed and can give us some clues on how life came to grow and prosper on this little floating rock.
