Scientists at the BBSRC-funded Babraham Institute have collaborated with the University of Cambridge and the Weizmann Institute to create a new method for visualising chromosomes.

An X-shape often used to describe a chromosome is merely a snapshot of its complexity. Despite being what most of us are familiar with, the X-shape isn't an accurate representation.
