What Causes Atmospheric Pressure? In this video, I explain the underlying physics and connect the equations and concepts to observations that make the idea testable.

Can the atmospheric pressure gradient be explained by falling temperatures with altitude? Is the atmosphere of earth an ideal gas? Can we predict pressures and temperatures at altitude, and then measure them directly?

The pressure gradient of earth's atmosphere is directly dependent on the effects of gravity on the mass of the atmosphere. Let's see how.
