In this instalment I take a look at Manchester Airport's noise monitoring system. I visited numerous sites that contain a strange looking radio mast with a microphone at the top. What could they be monitoring? What are they listening for? Who are they listening to? All questions I took home and decided to research.

Turns out it's just a network of remote microphones sending data back to the airport for monitoring noise!
