Hey all! Hope this makes sense. As always, if you have any questions - leave them below and I'll do my best to answer them as I can :)
Diminished and Augmented chords can be thought of as either major + chords or minor - chords. Meaning that a Major chord with a raised 7 semitone (i.e. 5th) is augmented - likewise a minor chord with a reduced 7 semitone is diminished.
Diminished == minor third on top of minor third
Major == major third on top of major third.
