Scientist Kevin Miklasz talks about how he studies tiny spores that attach very well to tidal rocks to survive turbulent waves. These spores rely on bioglue, a mucous-like glue produced by their bodies, to keep them attached to the rocks and survive. The faster the spores bio-glue sets, or hardens, and the stronger the bio-glue is, the better chances the spore will have of survival.

In nature, there are many natural glues. Have you ever touched a plant and left with sticky fingers? Have you ever noticed the sticky trail that snails and slugs leave behind them? Perhaps we can learn from natures use of bio-glues and apply what we learn to structural engineering and construction methods!

In this challenge, you are going to use different edible bio-glues found in your kitchen to hold together model skyscrapers, and test which bioglue works best!
