iRacing's Vintage Grand Prix Tour is a series of full-distance Grand Prix using the venerable Lotus 79. I was intrigued when it was announce and its something I've meant to take part in this season, but with real life getting in the way I wasn't able to make it work. But thankfully, with just a week to go in the series it finally aligned with my schedule and I could jump in.
It couldn't have been a greater challenge though! 70 Laps at the Circuit Gilles Villenueve in Montreal... In the Wet!
It ended up being an exhausting but wonderful race that really shows why a full-distance race can give you a thrill that the shorter sprints cannot. Not my best drive but one I will remember for a while!
