Switzerland is notorious for being one of the most expensive countries to travel to in the world so I wanted to see if I could budget only $60 for one of my days in Kandersteg, Switzerland. Budget travel is tough in Switzerland but it can be done if you are ready to hike a lot instead of taking gondolas, eat at markets and stay in 20 person hostel rooms! I still had a great time on the Rodelbahn Oeschinensee (Alpine Coaster) and visiting the Lake Oeschine.
