A humpback whale showed up off Newport Beach, California with rope entangled around its pectoral flipper and through its mouth. Luckily there is nothing attached to the rope like lobster pots but there probably was at some point. Rescue crews have been attempting to get out to help this whale but the erratic behavior doesn't allow for crews to get close. There is also not anywhere to grab the rope to help free the whale.
