Everybody has tried doing this at least once in the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. In TotK, as long as you press the paraglider button before hitting the ground while falling, you won't take any fall damage. Because of this, it is common for people to try and open the paraglider as close to the ground as possible. It's almost like a fun minigame!
