About this video:
We are FINALLY back on the road and heading WEST! 🚙💨 Join us on the next leg of our exciting journey, starting from the DFW area. We kicked things off at Possum Lake, Texas, for a fantastic Memorial Day weekend with friends, complete with lake days, an incredible double rainbow, and some stunning sunsets (even if poor Piper wasn't a fan of the storms 🐶⚡️).
From there, we pointed the rig west and hit the road, taking in some classic history and beautiful sights along the way:
- Fort Sumner, New Mexico: We stopped at a classic roadside "tourist trap"—the family-owned Billy the Kid Museum! It's packed with Wild West history, quirky artifacts, and some pretty hilarious tombstone epitaphs.
- Yellowstone Universe: We drove right past the legendary 4 Sixes Ranch in West Texas, recently made famous by Taylor Sheridan. Pure ranching history!
- New Mexico Detours: We grabbed a passport stamp at El Malpais National Monument and spent a quick night dry camping at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque.
- Airstream Wash Day: Ever wonder how we keep the rig clean on the road? We share our specific rules for taking the Airstream through the Blue Beacon truck wash.
- Desert Trek to California: After some long driving days, closed rest stops, and a quick top-off with our new extended fuel tank, we finally crossed the California state line. We hit up Marine Corps Base Barstow for a gym session before rolling into the farming community of Reedley, CA!
