Notes: A 110-year-old water line ruptured at 3 a.m. causing a large sinkhole to open in the middle of Sunset Blvd and Holloway Dr. The rushing water flooded apartments, loading docks, and a Metro bus yard next to the Pacific Design Center. LADWP owns the water main and is cleaning up the damage after apologizing for the inconvenience and resulting damages. Businesses on the western side of the Sunset Strip are also impacted by the road closures. Some businesses in the repair zone are closed because roads and sidewalks are shut to pedestrians and vehicles. Many businesses open near the road closure on the Sunset Strip are seeing significantly fewer customers.
