The Clark boys first overnight backpacking trip and the longest hike to date, 14 miles round trip! The West Fork Trail in Oak Creek Canyon is one of the most beautiful places in the Sedona area. The 3.5 mile hike crosses the creek 12 times before ending at a pool. From there, another 2.75 miles through the canyon, in and out of the creek, before reaching the hard to find "Camping Permitted" sign. We ended up around 7 miles in, at one of only a handful of areas suitable to pitch a tent.
