Our 2024 Ram 2500 has officially turned into a nightmare.
After multiple transmission issues, our truck is now sitting on a lift in British Columbia while we're effectively stranded in Canada waiting on backordered parts. What should have been a simple request to expedite an oil cooler turned into hours of phone calls, dropped calls, cold transfers, conflicting information, and customer service agents who couldn't even agree on whether our case should be handled by the U.S. or Canada.
In this video, I share real recordings from my calls with Ram Customer Care/Stellantis support as we try to get answers, expedite parts, and figure out what happens next.
Here's where things currently stand:
• Buyback request denied
• Full transmission replacement approved
• Oil cooler on 4–8 week backorder
• Truck has been out of service for weeks
• We have upcoming travel plans and a new truck on order
• Nobody seems able to explain how a U.S. truck under a North American warranty should be handled when it's being repaired in Canada
To make matters worse, the dealership discovered evidence of internal transmission damage that appears unrelated to normal driving wear. At this point we're exploring every option, including arbitration, while hoping someone can finally get the parts moving before we're stuck here for months.
