Ah, finally this is finished, and man did this turn out really great. I really appreciate everyone who took part in this mep, and those who wish they were able to. During this week, we had a lot of unexpected drops so I wasn't able to put this up when I wanted to, but at least I am still uploading it on Mito week,, even though its the last day. xD Its still made it in time despite all the set back!

Mitochondrial Awareness Week
September 16 - 26, 2015

For those who don’t know, my family and I have a disease that runs in our family. It is a horrible disease that many people do not know about. When we talk about it, whether to strangers, friends, or even doctors, people ask “Mito-what?”. We want to help spread the awareness of this devastating disease so that more people will know about it, and possibly have someone hear about it to help make a cure. While people with this disease can look totally normal and healthy, they are in fact, not. It’s deep down that is the problem. Mitochondria organelles, which are located in every cell besides blood cells, are responsible for converting the foods we eat into the energy our body needs. When Mitochondria organelles are not working properly, the person’s body doesn’t get its required energy to maintain life. It affects any body part that requires energy, such as muscles, organ systems, brain, etc. When any part doesn’t get its required energy, the organs will slowly fail, and can lead to death. Think of it like a lightbulb. When the lightbulb is built and works properly, it brightly lights a room. However, if one function of that light bulb doesn’t work right, the light it casts gets dimmer, and eventually dies out.

The most difficult aspect of this mep was to edit characters who are ill in someway to make it like Mitochondrial Disease. It can range from lack of energy, being tired, constantly going to the hospital, and in worst cases, death. So we all showed this throughout the mep, and I believe we all did a fantastic job at doing something more difficult to portray. Thank you everyone who took part. -insert hearts here-
