On Oct. 14, 2025, Sanford J. Ungar, the Director of the Free Speech Project, spoke with State Rep. Andre D. Carroll (D-Philadelphia) and State Sen. Joe Picozzi (R-Philadelphia) of the Pennsylvania General Assembly to kick off "Free Speech at the Crossroads: A Keystone Dialogue" at Temple University in Philadelphia, a convening of discussions on challenges to Free Speech and other First Amendment freedoms, in the birthplace of American democracy. The discussion followed welcoming remarks from John Fry, the President of Temple University.
