I’ve shared a few photos previously but how cool, in fact how BLOOMING AWESOME, is this?! Check out the Matterhorn Express!
The cable car ride itself is brilliant - I can’t believe we ran up the same climb to Schwarzsee on Saturday?! - and the summit at the Glacier Paradise is quite literally breathtaking.
The sense of scale is difficult to comprehend. There’s almost too much beauty, too much geology, too much glacial gorgeousness to take in all at once!
We were quite literally on top of the world and it’s an experience that I’ll treasure forever.
Oh, and did I mention you can sledge through a tunnel within the glacier itself?! I’ll save that for a separate reel!
As a note, we paid a bit extra to take the crystal ride up to the summit (you get a glass floor and a lot of Swarovski) but the standard gondolas would be no less impressive!
