Join Professor Anju Massey-Brooker, the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Programme Lead for the Sustainable PLFs 2040 initiative, as she opens the first Sustainable Polymers in Liquid Formulations (PLFs) Summit.

Here, she sets the scene on what has happened one year on from the launch of the Royal Society of Chemistry’s PLFs Revolution roadmap and the progress being made.

Prof Massey-Brooker also looks at the two main challenges facing the PLFs sector - successfully transitioning away from fossil fuels to sustainable PLFs, and helping industry get ready for the new EU REACH regulations requiring polymers to be biodegradable from 2027.
