Lets you play ocarina while walking around or pausing. However, songs do not register when you play them. To do this, play a song in the quest/status menu and then move the cursor to a sector that isn't a song (like skulltula count) then press and hold A and immediately unpause. Now you should be able to play the ocarina. I don't think this has any uses since you can't actually play songs.
