I got to play Halo: Campaign Evolved and I spent a lot of time exploring The Silent Cartographer looking for weird and interesting things. I disabled my HUD and zoomed in with the magnum to get some cinematic shots of everything from wildlife to weird hidey holes.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is a Halo: CE remake in Unreal Engine 5 by Halo Studios releasing in 2026. I was given access to an early build of The Silent Cartographer on Xbox Series X. Here are all the new features coming to the game and my thoughts after playing for a while.
Since this is an early demo build of Halo: Campaign Evolved, there will be some bugs, stuttering, and graphical glitches. At launch in 2026, I'm sure this will all be ironed out.
Some key changes to the game are the inclusion of Sprint, 9 new weapons, and 3 entirely new prequel missions that involve Sgt. Johnson and begin before the events of Halo: CE.
