Same Weigh Safe 180 Drop Hitch, different color. We now sell a Cerakote black premium option on both our Weigh Safe and 180 hitches! What is Cerakote? Cerakote is the industry leading thin-film polymer-ceramic composite coating that enhances numerous physical performance properties such as resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and various chemicals. This coating has a high level of durability and also enhances impact strength and hardness.
Cerakote can be applied to an array of different surfaces including metals, plastics and wood. It’s thinness makes it an ideal coating for items with tight tolerances and is most commonly used on firearms. This thinness is what makes it the perfect coating for our adjustable ball mounts as we keep tight tolerances on our hitches. We are able to use this coating and still have full functionality of our hitches, even with our tight tolerances!
We wanted to give our customers the ability to choose from a variety of options when it comes to the hitch they are about to purchase. This black cerakote option is different than what we have done before and it has already been a huge hit! We are excited to see where it goes and get our customers what they truly want!
Our 180 Drop Hitch is made of aircraft grade aluminum with either a stainless steel or chrome-plated steel ball combo option. You can also choose what size tow balls you want, either a 1-7/8"x2" ball combo or a 2"x2-5/16" ball combo. You can also add on a matching hitch locking pin so that you have one key for your entire hitch!
