Today in my 52 Weeks Scrapbooking Project, I’m completing the right side of Layout 6 from the Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Workshop Kit.
This page continues documenting my February 1st afternoon hike at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden and along the Johnson Creek Trail in Portland, Oregon. Yesterday we built the left side of the layout, and today we bring the story together by finishing the right side of the spread.
One of the things I love most about scrapbooking double-page layouts is how they allow a story to unfold naturally across both pages. The photos, journaling, and design elements work together to capture not just the location, but the feeling of the experience.
Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden is beautiful in every season, but winter offers a quiet kind of magic. The trails are peaceful, the reflections in the water feel almost mirror-like, and the surrounding Johnson Creek Trail adds another layer of natural beauty to the adventure.
In today’s video I’m focusing on:
• Completing the right side of Layout 6
• Finishing the double-page spread from the Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Workshop Kit
• Adding journaling and photo balance to the layout
• Preserving the story of a peaceful winter hike
This project is part of my 52 Weeks Scrapbooking series, where I document my life, hikes, and everyday moments one layout at a time. My goal is to capture the memories while they are still fresh so those stories can be revisited for years to come.
Scrapbooking isn’t just about photos — it’s about honoring the moments that make up our lives.
Follow the full 52 Weeks Scrapbooking Series where I document adventures, hikes, and everyday stories through memory keeping.
