Reported by Glenn Robinson for The News 10, December 9, 1982.
A rare vintage Wednesday’s Child television report from Mobile, Alabama, featuring brothers Clifford, 10, and Timmy, 8, who were hoping to be adopted together.

The report shows the brothers playing at an amusement area and describes their close relationship, personalities, and educational challenges. Timmy is described as having a mild case of cerebral palsy. Both boys are portrayed as active and energetic children who needed an adoptive family willing to provide plenty of patience, acceptance, guidance, and discipline.

The report encouraged families interested in adoption to contact their local state adoption office or write to the Wednesday’s Child program in Mobile for additional information.

This is a fascinating piece of early-1980s local television history, documenting how television was used to help children in foster care find permanent families.
