Meteorologist Ashley Renee has your 7:45 am forecast. Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday! Edouard is now a tropical depression over SE Texas. It will continue weakening since it's over land. Scattered showers moved through our area yesterday, but today will be a little drier. Spotty showers and thunderstorms will move through between this afternoon and evening. Not everyone will get rain since this is lower rain coverage for today. We'll have a mix of sunshine and clouds and highs will be in the 90s. Yesterday, we only had a high of 89 degrees since skies were mostly cloudy and rain was in our area. As previously mentioned, highs will reach the low 90s since we'll have slightly drier weather today and a little more sunshine. Showers will end this evening and dry weather will last through the night. Overnight lows will be in the 70s. Rain chances will continue for the rest of the week as additional Gulf moisture surges in. Keep your rain gear with you each day. Thursday morning will be mainly dry, but a few isolated showers could move into our area near the end of the morning. Spotty to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be on and off Thursday afternoon and gradually end Thursday evening. A little more rain will be around on Friday. Isolated showers are possible in the morning and scattered showers and thunderstorms will move through in the afternoon and evening. A few showers will still be around Friday night before clearing out. Rain gear will still be needed for Labor Day weekend, but rain coverage will be a little lower.
