In July of 2019, weboost released the DRIVE X RV mobile cell phone booster to replace the popular DRIVE 4G-X RV cell phone booster.
The new RV booster package includes a re-branded DRIVE 4G-X booster (now called the DRIVE X) and more powerful omni directional OTR antenna. Also included is an extension rod, spring base, and new mounting bracket for attaching to an RV ladder or pole. The interior antenna and other accessories included are the same as those included with the Drive 4G-X RV package.
I performed some comparison testing between the Drive 4G-X RV antenna and new OTR antenna to see if the OTR antenna performed better. The results were in favor of the OTR antenna, but not significantly. I also was able to confirm that the potential for a better signal boost was possible when used with the external antenna extension rod.
