9월 첫날 중부 비, 남부 폭염 속 소나기

Most regions will have a rainy first day of September. The central parts of Korea will see up to 60 millimeters of rainfall; meanwhile, southern regions will see 5 to 40 millimeters of passing rain during the day, with summer heat continuing.
A heat advisory remains in place for most of southern provinces, so the weather still feels caught between summer and autumn.
Daegu will get up to 33 degrees Celsius, Gwangju and Busan rise to 31 degrees, while Seoul tops out at 27 degrees Celsius. After recent heavy rainfall, the ground remains saturated in many areas. A nationwide landslide watch is in place, so extra caution is needed.
Meanwhile, the east of Gangwon-do Province and Jeju-do Island will see more rain later this week while sunshine returns to the capital region. Then cooler air from the north should move in, gradually taking the edge off the lingering late-summer heat.
