A degree in Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, and a post-graduate degree in Space & Communication Systems, brought Candido Fracassi to Telespazio’s Fucino Space Centre (L’Aquila), the world’s most important teleport for civilian uses. In addition to performing in-orbit satellite control activities, and telecommunications, television and multimedia services, the facility also houses the COSMO-SkyMed Constellation Control Centre and the Galileo Control Centre (GCC), in operation since 2010.
Since 2021, Candido Fracassi has been Head of the Italian GCC, working with a team of engineers to ensure “24/7 generation and dissemination of the Galileo navigation messages to end users.”
