Pull up a chair. Here's what we're reacting to TONIGHT:
Chapter 41: Helion arrives at the Night Court to examine the Mask. He wards the room and ties the protections to Nesta's blood, but not before getting a good look at Nesta in a fitted blue dress. Cassian's jealousy is... visible. After everyone clears out, Cassian and Nesta finally address what happened between them. And then some more happens between them. Emily will have thoughts.
Chapter 42: Cassian gets called to the river house and the news is not small. The blacksmith dropped off the three weapons Nesta helped forge and says they are cursed. Turns out, Nesta has been pouring her power into the blades. No one has created a magic weapon in over ten thousand years and she did it on accident. Amren wastes zero time suggesting Rhys use this to become High King. That is a sentence I just typed.
Chapter 43: Nesta and Cassian take a trip to the Spring Court to meet Eris and deliver the bad news about his soldiers. While they are there, Tamlin finds them on his land in beast form. Nesta does not flinch. She stands in front of him and tells him exactly what she thinks about what he did to her and Elain with the Cauldron. Then she threatens to kill him if he tells anyone they were there. Cold.
Chapter 44: Training takes a turn when Cassian reveals he once fought alongside Valkyries during the War. Five battles, ending at the Battle of Meinir Pass, where most of them died holding the line in a suicide mission. Among them was Tanwyn, a Valkyrie and Cassian's lover. He asks Gwyn to dig up everything she can on Valkyrie fighting techniques so he can start teaching them to the group. Meanwhile, Elain casually drops that Nesta was trained in dance from a young age. Filed that one away.
Trauma, tension, and two people who are absolutely not fine. ALL in five chapters. WE ARE READY!
