For generations, Christian families worshipped God together in the gathered church.
Fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters sat side by side under the preaching of God’s Word, lifted their voices together in praise, and learned to fear the Lord as one household.
This is the ordinary pattern in Scripture, but over the last century, it has largely given way to age-segregated ministries and programs. Though well-intentioned, this peer-focused approach hasn’t galvanized young people to stay in church and keep the faith.
