ℹ️ About the Episode:
After two months in Iowa with our grandkids, family, and friends, it was finally time to say goodbye and get back on the road.
Our journey west included family visits, a Thomas Dambo Troll roadside stop in Elk Horn, Iowa, and an overnight stay in Custer, South Dakota. But shortly after arriving at the campground, the weather changed fast, leaving our home on wheels completely exposed to a sudden hailstorm.
The next morning, we continued to Wind Cave National Park, where we explored the park’s scenic backcountry above ground before discovering the remarkable world hidden beneath the prairie.
Come along as we begin another chapter on the road, encounter a few unexpected surprises, and visit one of South Dakota’s most fascinating national parks.
