After absolutely FREEZING on our last camping trip, we knew we needed to make some changes! 🥶⛺
Our last night in the Coody 17.2 was a serious reality check. We loved the tent and our setup, but once the temperature dropped, we quickly realised we weren't properly prepared for just how cold camping in Ireland could get.
After sharing that experience, we received hundreds of comments with advice on what we should change, from insulating underneath our bed to getting a diesel heater, so we decided to take your advice, upgrade our setup and head back out wild camping to see if we could finally stay warm!
In this video, we're putting some of your most suggested changes to the test, including:
• 🔥 Setting up and using a diesel heater for the first time
• 🛏️ Adding insulated mats underneath our air bed
• ⚡ Trying an electric blanket with our portable power station
• ⛺ Making a few changes inside our Coody 17.2
• 🚽 Adding a camping toilet to make wild camping a little more practical
• 🌡️ Keeping an eye on the temperature throughout the night
• 🏕️ Putting everything to the test on a real wild camping trip in Ireland
We brought quite a few different things with us to try, and we're definitely not saying you need ALL of this to stay warm while camping! 😂 We're still learning what works for us, and this trip was all about testing some of the most recommended changes and seeing which ones actually made a difference.
So... did we finally manage to stay warm, or were we in for another freezing night in the tent? 🥶
