Is Osaka better than Tokyo? This might sounds like a long shot but many people are saying that so during our road trip around Japan we decided to stop in Osaka and see it for ourselves.
We started our day at the Osaka Castle, one of Japan's most famous landmark. This is a beautiful structure worth visiting and is also situated in Osaka Castle Park which is such a beautiful place to walk around and eat something fun like Japanese Pancakes.

From there we walked through the Shinsaibashisuji Shopping District a great place to buy clothes from all the big brands but we weren't there for that. This is why we quickly headed to Nipponbashi Den Den Town also known as the anime district of Osaka. As a 90's kid, I am by default a big Pokémon fan and I always wanted to get a really nice Pikachu card. So I did that because I LOVE POKEMON!
Osaka is also know as Tenka no Daidokoro meaning the Kitchen of Japan. So the street food scene is incredible. Kuromon Market is an amazing place to walk around and try some delicious Japanese street food like takoyaki, Okonomiyaki and so many more. I also had to try Japan's most dangerous street food, puffer fish sashimi.
Finally, we headed to Dontonbori, a vibrant district famous for its large neon advertisement, street food and gets even better at night. We ate some really good kushikatsu, rode the Don Quijote ferris wheel and just had a great time.
