We Share the Same Moon is a free online resource for science educators around the globe to champion the use of storytelling as a stimulus for science learning.
In March 2021 we will be exploring the theme: What is Light? A series exploring light and associated science concepts from UK curriculum such as reflection, life and growth, and our Moon. These three free sessions will be offered to teachers and their classrooms, and homeschoolers on Fridays during the month beginning the week of British Science Week.
These sessions will be run jointly by Cassandra Wye, Storyteller and Creator of We Share the Same Moon and Lucinda Offer Education and Outreach Officer for the Royal Astronomical Society.

About Cassandra:
Cassandra has been teaching and telling tales with children around the globe since 1991. She has worked across the educational spectrum to highlight the power and potential of storytelling to transform teaching and learning across the curriculum.
She has produced “Teaching Science through Story” packages for NASA, Bristol Vision Institute, International Astronomical Union, Singapore Science Centre and Royal Astronomical Society. Funded by Arts Council England, she is currently developing resources for We Share the Same Moon - online “Science as Story” resource

About Lucinda:
Lucinda is the Education and Outreach Officer for the Royal Astronomical Society and has taught Earth and Space Science. She has taught Earth and Space Science, Physics and Astronomy in the US and UK since 2006. You can find her on YouTube where she hosts the Public Talks for the RAS or providing education and outreach to schools across the UK. She is a former NASA Associate who worked on Mars analogue research around the world with Spaceward Bound, putting teachers in the field with scientists. She is also a Space Champion for ESERO UK.
