What started as two 12-hour layovers turned into one unforgettable day in Lima, Peru — complete with ancient ruins, surfers, paragliders, facials, and (of course) coffee.

In this video, I explore how to make the most of a long layover on the way to Machu Picchu — from visiting the Huaca Pucllana archaeological site to trying classic Peruvian dishes at Panchita and catching my caffeine fix at one of Lima’s “Top 100” coffee shops (spoiler: I disagree).

This is the first chapter in my Peru series, with the next video diving into our week in Cusco and the hike to Machu Picchu.

📍 Places Featured:
– Huaca Pucllana Historical Site (Miraflores)
– Panchita (Peruvian comfort food)
– Puku Puku Coffee
– Miraflores Coastline & Kennedy Park
