footnote 1: so definitely not all hiphop atm would qualify as meme music. I think there are a number of artists paving their own way in innovative genres (hiphop included) and just generally pioneering our digital renaissance. This idea pertains to popular music trends, which is more of what the majority of ppl might listen to via spotify curated playlists or via Billboard top 100.
footnote 2: first, I know dobre brothers and jake paul aren't tiktokkers (though they might be double posting content on there). Idea here about the wide trend of commentary channels making fun of tiktok as an app, mainly targeting the platform equivalent of content like jake paul / dobre brothers. I think it isn't doing the platform and everything happening on it as a whole justice.
