Instead of doomscrolling today, we’re doing something much healthier: staring directly at the strangest news stories on the internet and trying to process them like adults. Because somehow the world continues to produce headlines that feel fake, but unfortunately are not.
In this episode of It’s Weird Out There, we look at a man legally required to eat nothing but Wendy’s chili for a month, an art student arrested for eating AI-generated art, a ceremonial kick that drew hundreds of spectators, scientists developing smart underwear to measure human farts, a chicken restaurant being evicted for smelling like chicken, and Stephen King nearly ending his marriage over Mambo No. 5.
So yes. Things are going very well.
