One of the latest trends on social media is either men asking for women to only serve as wife or mothers, or wives and mothers (usually Mormon or Christian) making TikTok and YouTube content showing their ‘trad wife’ lifestyles. In our late stage capitalist hellscape, passing the time cooking or tending to the needs of your young children might sound appealing - but as we all know this idyllic life is just a facade most of the time.

The trade wife lifestyle usually makes women completely dependant on their partner, which can end in disaster if a divorce happens.
