We live in an era of infinite content - music, games, tv shows, films - all accessible to us easily on streaming service. This has both caused a massive oversaturation and a lowering of quality - which means we are now in the era also of Content Slop. We just want something to distract us for a moment, and aritsts and brands know this. They will put out art that feels like it was made by AI because they have lowered our standards so much we now don't really care about quality - as long as we are getting something fed to us. Like a pig eating slop.
