Remember Heartbreaker Buckshot, the unreleased Sensei from Skylanders Imaginators who was originally suppose to be released in February 2017 but got scrapped at the last minute along with 5 unreleased Creation Crystals (each from the Air, Fire, Light, Earth and Tech elements)?
According to one of the developers in this interview by Tealgamemaster (youtube.com/watch?v=jiZSItFwkKQ&t=870s ), the proclaimed reason he was scrapped was because he looked "too evil". But recently, another developer mentioned that the reason he was scrapped was due to low sales from the first few waves of Imaginators.
In recent years, there has been a NFC dump on nearly every Skylander there ever was, including some of the scrapped ones in early development of which you can get yourself (github.com/skylandersNFC/Skylanders-Ultimate-NFC-Pack ) and there are tutorials of how to get the NFCs to become playable in your Skylanders game (youtube.com/watch?v=GknhD9OwZPY ).
Just recently, someone managed to get the NFCs of Heartbreaker Buckshot and the 5 unreleased creation crystals, which means you can finally have the opportunity to play as Heartbreaker Buckshot and the crystals in your Imaginators game after nearly 10 years. They even said they might also make a 3D printed copy of HBB and the crystals and sell them online for anyone who wants to see HBB and the last few Crystals in their shelves. And if that does happen, I'll hopefully be one of their customers.
Does this mean a new Skylanders might come back? That's hard to say. Spyro's going back to its classic roots and Sony is thinking about ditching their physical media production in 2028. But their creators, Toys for Bob, also developers of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time and Crash Team Rumble do often tease on their potential comeback.
HOWEVER, if the people behind all this ask me to remove the video, then so be it. I'll remove it as soon as possible.
