In our four-part series “We Make It, You Own It,” we’re taking a look into the lives of hard-working Mainers whose relationship with the state is deeply infused in their work.
Furniture maker Eric Ritter has a natural, organic approach to his workday: “I just walk out into my shop, and it’s piles of stuff to do. It’s ever-changing.” Wherever the day takes him, he brings his versatile Ragg Wool Sweater along for the ride – he even wore it traveling across the ocean. It speaks to the fact that to make it through all of Maine’s seasons, you have to have a lot of skill sets and a bit of Yankee ingenuity.
Since 1912, we’re put a bit of the essence of Maine into everything we make: products that are hard-working, rugged, unique, and built to stand the test of time. But a boot, or a bag, or a shirt, isn’t truly finished until you add your story to it, too. We make it. You own it.
