â đ We thought leaving Florida after 4 months would be simple. We were wrong. This RV travel day went from a bad turn into a Love's truck stop to getting completely buried in mud at a Harvest Hosts drive-in theater in Ocala, Florida.After 4 months in Florida it was time to head north to Alabama for our next big chapter. We had a 3 day drive ahead of us and things started going sideways almost immediately. A tight turn into a Love's truck stop had no business fitting our rig... and we found that out the hard way.
Then we pulled into one of the most unique Harvest Host RV camping spots we have ever stayed at: a real working drive-in theater. We watched a movie under the stars, went to bed happy, and woke up ready to roll. That is when everything fell apart.Getting out turned into a 4 hour nightmare. Our truck buried itself to the axles in soft ground and we could not move an inch. We called a tow truck and waited it out. This is the part of full time RV living nobody posts about.If you are dreaming about the RV lifestyle or already living it, this one is a reminder that the road will humble you. Fast.â±
